Our Commūnicāre Learning Team is an extension of our Commūnicāre Clinical Team. Members of our Learning Team specialize in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), assistive technology (AT), and tele-AAC, and we work with other professionals and experts to develop in-person and online learning opportunities.
We are recognized as continuing education (CEU) providers for the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), and as a professional development points (PDP) provider by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. All of our courses included PDPs that can be used towards re-licensure.
We offer a number of online courses, and the number is growing! Visit Our Courses to learn more. Our Team is also often presenting at local, national, and international venues. Our Resources offers more information associated with these events, and more.
We love what we do and we believe strongly that empowering others to do what we do is critical. We use a transdisciplinary approach where we work with other professionals to develop new theories, systems, practices and tools based on input from others and other fields. This approach allows us to work with others outside of our clinical team, and we love it!
Want your own kind of in-person training or online course module? Our team loves to create learning opportunities to meet the needs of a team. Our goal is to empower others to feel confident about AAC, AT, tele-AAC and more. Please let us know if there is a topic you want to learn more about and we will work with you to develop the training.
